(釋提桓因, 释提桓因)

Śakro-devānāmindra, [lang id =1028]釋 Śakra [lang id =1028]提桓 (sa) devānām [lang id =1028]因 Indra; Śakra the Indra of the (sa) devas, the sky-god, the god of the nature-gods, ruler of the thirty-three heavens, considered by Buddhists as inferior to the Buddhist saint, but as a (sa) deva-protector of Buddhism. Also [lang id =1028]釋羅; [lang id =1028]賒羯羅因陀羅; [lang id =1028]帝釋; [lang id =1028]釋帝; v. [lang id =1028]釋迦. He has numerous other appellations.
